This cot was originally handmade in Killanin in the 1970s, but spent the last two decades idling in an attic.
Over a couple of days when the rain made roof work impossible, there was a bit of time free to try to bring the cot back to life and colour for a new generation.
Work included careful sanding, replacement of a missing rod, creation of a new base (original missing), multiple coats of paint and varnish, and the obtaining of the right size mattress.
The letter A was added for the little fella’s name. The only downside is that only babies whose names begin with A can now use it 🙂
